The Long Beach Peninsula, 28 miles in length, offers something
for everyone.Take a long stroll on the packed sand beach, or
wander along the boardwalk. Hike the 8.3 mile Discovery Trail
visiting monuments to Lewis and Clark along the way. Poke
around coves and take in the breath taking views. Visit the bird
sanctuary, walk to the tip of the peninsula.The Long Beach
Peninsula offers everything from horseback riding, carnival rides
and arcades to top quality Galleries, and fine dining. Souvenir
and gift shops abound along with hot dogs, elephant ears, pizza
and kettle corn. Live music, street dances and face painting are
common weekend events Visit the Cape Disappointment and
North Head Lighthouses, Meander through the Interpretive
Center and Whale watch (Feb-Apr). Don't forget Cape Disappointment State Park is one of the most popular and spectacular recreation destinations in Washington State.
