MEET THE OWNERS

Owners Bill and Karla purchased the Mermaid Inn & RV Park in 2017 moving to Long Beach Peninsula from Portland, Oregon. The Mermaid Inn & RV Park had been wonderfully renovated by the previous owner, so we just needed to update the linens, add some web presence and take care of our amazing guests. We love meeting our guests and helping them to discover all the wonders of the peninsula. We made it through our first year in the hospitality industry and can’t wait for the new adventures in our future.

Bill was the owner/operator of Chinook Construction in Clackamas, OR for the last 10 years, remodeling Portland one home at a time. He also is an avid sports fisherman, crabber, clammer, the list goes on and on...

Karla is known as the Jill of all trades, many including working up to management. She has worked in the coffee industry, airlines, Office management, Project management in construction, and Property Management. She also in the last year has dived right into community involvement. She is on the Long Beach Merchants Board and with that is also on the board for the Long Beach Visitors Bureau. She has been working with a group to get the Skatepark/Dog Park built also.
